Field Trip to Mahele Farm & Kahanu Garden

Our farm team visited Mahele Farm and the Kahanu Garden of the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hāna last week to harvest bananas shoots and sweet potatoes to plant at the ranch.

Mahele Farm in Hāna grows bananas, carrots, macadamia nuts, sweet potatoes, and so much more. We harvested banana shoots at Mahele Farm to plant here at the ranch. We harvested 27 varieties, 17 of which are native hawaiian varieties. At Kahanu Garden, we harvested 4 varieties of sweet potato to use as seed at our ranch.
