Annual Ecosystem Testing

Our agronomy team has just completed our second annual ecosystem testing. Our goal is to measure the ways that our ecosystem evolves under our stewardship from year to year. This event includes testing of soil chemistry, soil microbiology, soil carbon, mycorrhizal fungi root colonization, forage nutritional properties, livestock parasites, and water quality.

More then 100 individual samples were collected and processed with the help of a few diagnostics labs. The resulting data sets will then help inform our ongoing livestock, farming, and conservation efforts to make sure we are actively taking care of our soil and animals!
